Describe the work as it runs now, from the first step to the last.
Who does the work?
Say who does each step. Roles are enough, and you do not need names.
Which part causes the most trouble?
Say what goes wrong and who notices first.
Which tools are involved?
Name the apps and files the work passes through.
Is there an application already?
If there is, include the current stack and the part that is causing trouble. If you are starting from an idea, say so.
Who will use the new software?
Say who they are and what they need to accomplish.
What would a good first release do?
Describe the smallest version that would already help. The rest can come after it.
When do you need it?
Give a date if there is one, or say there is no rush.
